A Colorado native who has dedicated several years to her role at SJVC, Christi’s background includes 17 years in a physical therapy office.  A devoted family person, Christi is married and has four children and twelve grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys hunting, hiking, camping, and cherishing moments with her loved ones.

Avery

A student at Montrose High School, she enjoys helping at SJVC over breaks and summer. Her big personality injects fun into our culture. Avery plans to attend college after graduation in hopes of pursuing a career in the medical field. Avery enjoys volleyball, tennis, hiking, camping, and most of all – kitties!

Cheri

Dixie

Dixie is a pillar of San Juan Veterinary Clinic. She has worked here for several decades as a groomer, receptionist, and tech assistant. She is married and has two grown sons. Dixie’s smile lights up a room and her soft demeanor is welcoming for your 4-legged family.

Irma Hernandez

Janessa

Janessa has been in the clinic her entire life. Her passion for animals, along with her outstanding work ethic, makes her an outstanding fit for SJVC. She loves helping animals and shows a general passion for learning. Janessa’s laugh is contagious, which makes us all appreciate having her here!

Nicole

Nicole was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. She always knew that she wanted to work with animals. She started her first job at a veterinary clinic at the age of thirteen, where she went on to complete over 27 years as a veterinary assistant. Sharon is a Colorado native who has been with the practice for several decades! She is an integral part of the SJVC puzzle, and she enjoys providing outstanding patient care.

Tyler

Tyler recently moved back to Montrose from Fort Collins and joined SJVC in spring of 2024. His time in Fort Collins was spent in school and working as an EMT. He decided a break from human medicine was needed so he pursued his interest in veterinary medicine.

Client Care

Sophia

Sophia grew up in Montrose, but in 2018 she decided to embark on an adventure, ending up in Portland, OR, where she worked in the vibrant culinary scene. She returned to Montrose to be closer to her loved ones and pursue new opportunities. Sophia joined the practice in 2021 and adds spice to our days!
