Susan Kingsbury, CVPM, Practice Manager

Susan joined the SJVC team in fall of 2016. A western Colorado native, she graduated from Mesa State College, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. She started her career in veterinary medicine at a busy practice in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she worked in many positions including kennel technician, head technician, reception, and management. Susan found her niche in management and earned her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in 2012.
In her free time Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They love the Western Slope and all the adventures it brings.

Dixie Serra, Groomer, Grooming Supervisor

Dixie is a Delta High School graduate and is a native of the Western Slope of Colorado. She went to Mesa College University for 1 year. She is married to her wonderful husband and they have 2 sons. They also have 4 dogs and 2 cats. Dixie has been grooming since 1989 and has been here at San Juan Veterinary Clinic since 2002. Her favorite after hours activity is being a soccer mom.

Jackie has worked at San Juan Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Technician since 2007. Before entering into the world of veterinary medicine, Jackie worked as an RN for 25 years. Her love for animals and medicine together switched her over to her new loved career. Jackie has been running sled dogs for 25 years, which has always included her beloved Siberian Huskies. She has 5 Huskies now and runs them for fun in her free time. Jackie loves working with the animals at San Juan Vet, but just as much, loves our clients.

Kendra moved to Montrose from Illinois in the summer of 2015. She graduated from Northern Illinois University earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2001. Kendra has been a Veterinary Technician for the last 10 years, but has been working with animals since 1995 when she discovered her love of caring for animals in a boarding facility. She has a dog and two cats (all rescues) of her own and enjoys spending as much time in the great outdoors as possible. Besides enjoying beautiful Colorado, Kendra also enjoys gardening and raising chickens in her spare time. Bio Coming Soon!

Bio Coming Soon! Sharon started at San Juan Veterinary Clinic in 1996 as a Kennel Technician. During her employment here, she has trained to be a Veterinary Technician Assistant and has become the “go to” person for anything and everything that has to do with the laboratory here at San Juan Vet. Sharon is completely trusted in running most of our blood samples and in house laboratory tests. She enjoys this and absolutely loves working with the animals and assisting the Veterinary Technicians and Doctors. Sharon enjoys spending time with her 3 cats, Jessica, Jade, and Tres and her 1 dog, Gracie. She also enjoys going out to eat and going to the movies with her friends.

Christina has been part of the San Juan Veterinary Clinic family since 2008 as a Kennel Technician. She is a proud mother of 3 wonderful daughters and a grandmother to 2 beautiful granddaughters, ages 6 years old and 3 months old. Christina enjoys spending time with family, friends, going horseback riding, hiking, fishing, camping, or just catching up on life. She loves to walk her 4 great dogs, 2 Border Collies and 2 Boxers. Christina believes that working with all the critters here at San Juan Vet makes her life complete. Her challenge is not taking those loved animals home with her at the end of the day! Hi, my name is Marzia and I have been a bather in the grooming department of San Juan Veterinary Clinic since 2010. I did take a year off and attended ENMU at Roswell and got my Veterinary Assistant Diploma. I enjoy animals and have a cat at home. My hobbies include swimming and snowboarding.
